Continued Help During the COVID-19 Crisis

As we are still in the midst of this COVID-19 pandemic, we've been focusing our charitable funds and time to organizations that are on the ground making a difference. This is a round up of where we have been seeing a need and have been jumping in to support over the last month.

American Red Cross

The American Red Cross has an urgent need for blood and platelet donations. There is no known end date in this fight against coronavirus, and the Red Cross urgently needs the help of blood and platelet donors and blood drive hosts to meet the needs of patient care. We are hosting a blood drive on July 1 at Underbelly to help with meeting the need. Space is limited, but we still have a few spots left, sign up today.

DPS Skis

With the shortage of PPE for frontline workers, the creative minds at DPS Skis decided to change their production to building PPE instead of skis. With the help of Petzel and Goal Zero, they were able to manufacture and distribute the much needed gear. As story tellers, we were moved by the story and wanted to share what was happening with a video to help spread the word. You can watch it here.

International Rescue Committee

During this widespread emergency, refugee families will be disproportionately affected by the impacts of COVID-19 in our community. Refugee families need our support now more than ever and here is how you can help!

Meals on Wheels

Vulnerable seniors are at the greatest risk amid COVID-19. Local Meals on Wheels programs are on the front lines every day, focused on doing all they can to keep older Americans safe and nourished in communities across the country. In fact, a new survey conducted by Meals on Wheels America finds that nearly all local Meals on Wheels programs are experiencing increased demand, with four in five programs reporting that new meal requests have doubled since March 1, when concerns over COVID-19 and social distancing measures began taking hold. Here is how you can get involved to help those who need meals. Let’s feed those seniors!

RSL Foundation

The Feeding Our Frontline program raises dollars for hospitals statewide to provide free meals for Utah caregivers. 100% of the donations goes directly to feeding our frontline workers here in Utah.

United Way Utah

United Way is committed to creating lasting change and helping all kids and families succeed, regardless of their circumstances, and this still holds true during this time.  This crisis has magnified the inequities in our community. Those with the least are hit first, hit hardest, and will take the longest to recover. Their main focus is on an equitable response to the pandemic, and their partners are rapidly assessing and pivoting strategies to address near-term needs, while  working to rebuild broken systems to produce more equitable results. For more on how you can get involved, visit www.uw.org.

Our hope in sharing these resources, is to inspire and encourage you to step up and do something good. Small changes can make big waves.

Keep at it fam!
