What to expect
You are a Senior Designer with a portfolio full of beautiful visual examples of your deep background in taking marketing, branding, and illustration projects from concept to launch.
What you'll do
- Create beautiful digital experiences for apps, brands, and websites.
- Craft delightful motion pieces for UI interactions, prototypes, brand animations, illustrations with motion, and more.
- Showcase your curiosity daily, and have a strong proficiency in all the latest design, motion, and prototyping tools.
- Lead the definition and communication of motion best practices to designers and developers.
- Validate your ideas through research, design, motion and prototyping.
- Be involved with projects from kickoff to launch, understand clients, scoping efforts, ideate, collaborate, and execute thoughtful, elegant, and sometimes whimsical visual solutions for great clients from large to small.
- Collaborate with the art director, other team members, and the project manager to strategize and create elegant solutions/design for new and existing clients and projects.
- Communicate design solutions and iterate based on feedback.
- Drive kickoffs and other project critical meetings.
You have
- 3-5 years of professional experience having contributed to the creation of multiple websites, motion designs, and digital experiences, and a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional visual design.
- Passion for storytelling through digital experiences, motion, and site design.
- Knowledge of the full cycle of interactive visual design, from ideation and brainstorming to the delivery of final assets and testing.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams—working closely with clients, developers, and content teams.
- Solid understanding of design fundamentals: typography, color, grid, space, and composition.
- Proficiency with relevant design tools and applications. At Underbelly we use mostly Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and a few different motion prototyping tools.
- Experience presenting your work to key stakeholders and peers.
- Serious and earnest desire to solve complex problems.
- Clear, concise, and articulate communication skills.
- Self-motivated willingness to continually learn and improve your craft.
- Collaborative and humble nature.
