Product Design Intern

You are creative, driven, have a good eye for visual design, and are looking to grow your experience through feedback and direction.

The design team at Underbelly is central to the awesome work we produce with our clients. We’re a multidisciplinary team specializing in user experience, interface design, branding, motion, and illustration. We help solve complex problems for some of the world’s leading companies, in addition to helping small businesses get new products and brands off the ground. What you'll do

  • Help us move through a massive backlog of design needs for rad internal projects we haven’t had time to do ourselves
  • Learn about an effective design process across all phases of a project
  • Have the opportunity to work on projects that stretch your skills in interaction and visual design
  • Participate in a formal, structured design critique process as well as 1-on-1 feedback sessions
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers
  • Communicate design solutions and iterate based on feedback

You have

  • A portfolio showing strong potential in human-centered interaction design work
  • Interest and experience in product design and development, particularly for web and mobile apps
  • An understanding of visual design fundamentals; typography, color, grid, space, and composition
  • Proficiency with relevant design tools and applications
  • A serious and earnest desire to solve complex problems
  • Clear, concise, and articulate communication skills
  • A self-motivated desire to constantly learn and improve your craft
  • A collaborative, humble nature
